RJAE’s new mixtape Keith is here, and it’s a heartfelt confession, blending melodic flows with metaphoric, catchy raps. The project reveals layers of his emotions, offering fans a glimpse into the love, loss, and lessons that shaped him. Named after his middle name, Keith feels deeply personal.

The lead single, “curtains,” opens with lyrics about a promising, rare love, but as the tape unfolds, it becomes clear the story didn’t go as planned.

The project begins with RJAE declaring himself a “playa 4 life,” a nod to his resilience when relationships fall apart. On “september 7th” and “nobody,” he reflects on an unhealthy connection that left him disappointed. The bond was toxic, but he admits there are moments he wishes he could go “back in time”—only if his past lover admits she was wrong. It could’ve changed everything.

“age ain’t nothing but a number” suggests love could’ve overcome obstacles, and in another “lifetime,” perhaps the story would’ve ended differently. Reality paints a bittersweet picture: a relationship that started beautifully but didn’t have a sweet ending.

RJAE stays raw and vulnerable, sharing his truths without holding back. On “honest freestyle,” he lays out his feelings and choices, while “three times” reveal a moral tug-of-war, as he confesses to being involved with someone who wasn’t his to claim.

With Keith, RJAE gives listeners his heart in pieces, showing that love isn’t always perfect, but it’s always worth the story it leaves behind.
